Bigg Boss Day 1 begins with arguments and tension among the contestants. Mahi Vij and Aman clash when Mahi asks him to pick up her bag. Aman says he is willing to help when asked politely but does not like taking orders. He later has a brief argument with Love over a water bottle, after which Love tells Arishfa that she is getting a negative vibe from him.
Cooking also becomes a reason for disagreement. Mary Kom refuses to prepare breakfast, saying everyone should cook for themselves. Mahi and Love have a heated exchange while discussing tea and Poha. Meanwhile, Kanika and Gullu discuss Aman Gandhi’s personal life, while Mahi and Arishfa clash over Mahi’s controlling behaviour. Isha supports Arishfa and says Mahi has been giving instructions since the beginning.
Mary Kom teaches boxing to Gullu and Scout, with Scout impressing her. Yung and Mahi discuss a possible love angle between Kanika and Gullu, while Mahi calls Rohed boyfriend material. Rhiti Tiwari says she wants to create her own identity instead of being known only as Manoj Tiwari’s daughter. Isha also says she joined Bigg Boss to establish her own identity rather than being known as someone’s girlfriend or wife.
Bigg Boss later gives Kanika the power to take an opportunity away from a contestant she dislikes. She chooses Qazi, causing him to lose his chance to become the first captain. Uditi and Scout also argue over her complaint about water being splashed on the toilet seat. Scout later warns the housemates not to underestimate Aman, who says he may be quiet but can strongly respond when provoked.
A major argument takes place between Qazi and Arishfa after she objects to being treated like a child. Qazi later accuses Yung of fuelling the conflict, leading to another heated argument between the two.
Bigg Boss then announces the first captaincy task, with Qazi appointed as the dictator. The contestants have to wear cake pieces and reform the cake, while those who reach the designated spot late are eliminated. Isha, Amrapali and Aman are eliminated in the first round, followed by Mahi, Rhiti and Love in the second round. Qazi and Yung then argue over the task decisions.
The episode ends with tensions continuing inside the house. In the precap, Arishfa, Mahi and Amrapali get into a heated argument after Arishfa learns that Mahi and Amrapali have been calling her a kid behind her back.
