The Dawaat-E-Jung task ended with Harshad Chopda becoming the first finalist of Lock Upp Season 2. Before the finale task, Harshad admitted that he had intentionally lost the laser challenge to save Shivangi Joshi from elimination. During the Sunday (August 20) episode, Shivangi Joshi and Shreya Kalra discussed Dheeraj Dhoopar's claim that Harshad had sacrificed his own chance so Shivangi could stay safe in Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. Shreya confirmed that Dheeraj told her Harshad had confessed to losing the task on purpose.
The revelation upset Shivangi. She said she has always stood by her friends but did not want to advance because of anyone's sacrifice. Shivangi added that she would rather leave the competition than accept an opportunity earned through sympathy. She was shocked to learn Harshad had deliberately lost because of her and struggled to accept his decision.
Only the top two contestants remaining inside the jail qualified for the final task. Although many expected Shreya Kalra to become the first finalist, the final challenge featured Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi. Shivangi stepped away from the task, giving Harshad the win. He was declared the first finalist of Lock Upp Season 2.
